I'm Euni, a New York City based Design Director specializing in fashion, home and textile design for start-ups of all sizes.
My mind is the most open and productive in the early morning. I wake before sunrise in the Beacon, New York home I share with my husband Kai. I like to gently welcome the day while drinking coffee, it's my favorite time.
A true design geek, I love what I do and live to work. I received a Masters of Fine Art in Textiles at the University of Georgia while concurrently studying Fashion Design at the Savannah College of Art and Design. I'm continually inspired by museums and independent designers - and I'm a sucker for a beautiful typeface, well - designed book covers and rare fashion textbooks. I also listen and read as much as I can about politics, business, culture and sociology because it helps me understand design and its place within a larger cultural context.
After working in New York City for nearly a decade, I am blessed to have a network of supportive, like-minded friends and designers. We continuously encourage and inspire each other.
Thanks to an international upbringing, I appreciate the many types of beauty in the world: I've lived in Holland, Mexico, the Bahamas, Canada, and various parts of the United States. A piece of each place stays with me. Travel has also been a large part of my life - there's nothing better than seeking the hard to find spots that compose the lives of locals. I apply that open-mindedness and desire for exploration and understanding to my life and work.
